SAMS 2017 Executive Committee
Adeli Lim · President
Kia Ora! My name is Adeli and I’m finishing off my final year of Biomedical Science degree in 2017. It’s been quite rough for me to progress into the Biomedical Science degree but SAMS has been a great resource to guide me towards the right direction. I’m honoured to be a part of the SAMS executive committee for 2017. I hope that our team for 2017 can provide not only academic guidance but also social support for all those studying Medical Science papers at UoA.
Rosie Hubbard · Vice-President
Hi there, I'm Rosie and I'm in my third year of studying a Nursing and Physiology conjoint. Im really looking forward to beig part of the SAMS exec for 2017 and helping out all of you wonderful Medical Science students! Outside of Uni I love to sail and hang out with friends and family. I've been through all the struggles of planning a conjoint and doing way too many Medscis, so feel free to hit me up if you ever need a hand.
Kylie Pan · Executive Secretary
Hi there! My name is Kylie and I am a third year Biomed student. I see SAMS as a great chance to meet more people studying similar courses and to create a sense of belonging for students in Medical Sciences. I would also want to be here to offer support and advice, as we all know that uni life can be stressful and confusing at times, and having someone to talk to would help. Feel free to drop me a message!! Also open to drama/book suggestions
Safra Fahmy · Executive Treasurer
Kia ora! I'm Safra, a Biology major in my final year and it's my pleasure to be the Executive Treasurer of 2017. I love playing tennis and cycling and getting amongst new adventures. I joined the SAMS team to help out students and provide a fun outlet to connect with new people. Your university life should definitely be more than just study, no matter your end goal I believe the journey there can be great.
Gabrielle Sebaratnam · Executive Treasurer
Heya! My name is Gabrielle and I’m a 3rd year Physiology major. The past few years have been quite the rollercoaster, but I’m psyched to be a part of this incredible group of people to make your turn a little less traumatic. If you’re ever keen for a yarn - uni, cricket, existential or otherwise, I got you covered! (just hold on a sec while I grab a cup of tea)
Eugene Kim · Academic and Social Director
Hey there! I'm Eugene, and I'm a 3rd year student majoring in Physiology. I’m honoured to be a part of the SAMS executive committee for 2017 and I’d very much like to give back to the community in whatever way I can. My main interests are in the general science & technology field, but my study field of interest is in human diseases and conditions! If you have any questions, any problems, or concerns, don't be a stranger and feel free to shout out if you see me around campus!
